Wallpaper Installer & Contributor · Think Noir
“I have installed wallpaper in studios, offices, restaurants, and nurseries. The product rarely fails. The preparation almost always does.”
What I Cover
I write about wallpaper installation from the perspective of someone who does it for a living. My content covers surface prep, application techniques, pattern matching, and the mistakes that are obvious to an installer but invisible to everyone else until it is too late.
I work across residential and commercial projects: living rooms, offices, hospitality spaces, kids' rooms, and everything in between. I write about peel and stick, traditional paste-the-wall, and commercial vinyl because I install all three. If there is a surface that causes problems, I have already dealt with it.
Interests & Focus Areas
- Surface prep — the step that makes or breaks an install
- Application technique for peel and stick, paste-the-wall, and vinyl
- Pattern matching and seam placement
- Commercial and hospitality installs versus residential rooms
- The common mistakes you only notice once the wallpaper is up
Background
I started out as a DIYer, decorating my own spaces and learning what worked the hard way. Those early installs taught me more than any guide did, mostly because I made every mistake in the book and had to fix them myself. That hands-on experience turned into a professional installation practice that now covers projects of all sizes. At Think Noir I write the installation content I wish had existed when I was starting out.
