“I have lived in seven rental apartments. I have tested more peel and stick wallpaper than I care to count. I will tell you exactly what held, what peeled, and what took the paint with it.”

What I Cover

I write exclusively for renters, small spaces, and anyone decorating within someone else's rules. My content covers peel and stick wallpaper from the ground up: surface prep, application, what holds on different wall types, and how to get a clean removal when the tenancy ends.

I also cover small space strategy. How to use pattern without shrinking a room, which wallpaper scales work when you are dealing with limited square footage, and how to create a real focal point without structural changes. I test on real rental walls and report what I find, including the parts that did not work.

Interests & Focus Areas

  • Peel and stick wallpaper — what holds on different wall types
  • Clean removal at end of tenancy, without taking the paint
  • Small space strategy and pattern that doesn't shrink a room
  • Creating a focal point without structural changes
  • Decorating within a landlord's rules

Background

I have been a long-term renter and home decor blogger for over six years. I have decorated seven rental apartments across four cities and documented every wall, every product, and every landlord complaint along the way. That experience is the entire foundation of my writing: I made the mistakes, dealt with the consequences, and wrote the guides I wished existed before I started.
