Kids & Family Spaces Writer, Think Noir

A kids' room does not have to look like a toy store. It has to work for a child and still feel intentional to the adults who walk in. That balance is what I write about.

WHAT I COVER

I write about nurseries, kids' rooms, and the specific design challenge of creating a space that functions for a child without looking like it was designed by one. I cover Think Noir's Kids collections with the same editorial standards I apply to adult interiors.

My focus is on longevity: patterns and palettes that a child will not outgrow in eighteen months, wallpaper that holds up to real daily use, and design decisions that still look considered in five years. No pastels by default. No zoo animals unless you mean it.

Background

I am a mother of two and a former nursery stylist for a boutique baby goods brand, where I designed and photographed over forty kids' rooms for editorial and product use. That work gave me a clear eye for what photographs well and what actually functions in a room a child uses every day. Those are not always the same thing, and my writing reflects that distinction.
